Nuwara Eliya is famous among tourists as the hill resort of Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya, located at around 2000m above sea level, can be reached by travelling about 180 km from Colombo. Nuwara Eliya is also known by the names of ‘City of Light’ and the tea capital of Sri Lanka among tourists. This travel destination is favored by travellers as it is surrounded by lush tea plantations overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the highest mountain in Sri Lanka.
Ramboda Falls, a gigantic and attractive waterfall (329 ft.), is among the top tourist attractions of Nuwara Eliya having three parts. Ramboda Falls is a very attractive yet simple waterfall. Ramboda Waterfall is located by the side of A-5 trunk route on Kandy to Nuwara Eliya East of Pussellawa.
Devon Falls
Devon Falls, located 6 Km west of Thalawakelle, are famous among tourists for its sharp drop from 97 metres. Vintage point is located at the 20th mile post having parking facility.
Adam Peak
Adam Peak, the most popular hill trail in Sri Lanka of about 2200m above from sea level is a different type of Hill climb to witness a spectacular sun rise or to enjoy a panoramic view of Sri Lanka. There are several resting places along the routes.
