Neil Island an ideal island for eco-tourism in Andaman Islands. With plenty of marine life. Neil Island dwells with lust green surroundings of paddy fields, banana plantations and tropical trees. It occupies an area of 18.9 square kilometres (7.3 sq mi). The island is located 40 kilometers (25 mi) east of Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
With the solitary aim of creating awareness on ecological balance, especially oceanic environment, it acts as a central attraction for tourists. The museum is maintained by the Indian Navy, taking forward a rich legacy of different traditions and cultures.
Cellular Jail
Its foundation was laid in the year 1896 and rebels from all over India, Burma and Karachi were exiled for life in this prison. It was taken over by Japanese troops in 1942 during World War -II.
