Arrival at Chennai Airport. Transfer to Pondicherry. En route visit Mahabalipuram (1 hour 30 minutes drive). After breakfast, proceed for a guided tour of Pondicherry starting with Auroville. Auroville is a universal township in the making for a population of up to 50,000 people from around the world. It was founded by the mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The soul of the Auroville is Matrimandir which represents the Universal Mother or the Divine Consciousness. Lunch is available at the visitor's centre in Auroville (Direct payment). Afternoon visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Museum, Botanical Garden, Churches etc. Evening at leisure for own activities. After breakfast, check-out and proceed from Pondicherry to Chettinad. En route, visit Chidambaram (2 hours drive). Chidambaram has one of the oldest, most venerated and magni cent temples of South India. Shiva Nataraja or the Dancing Shiva stands in his cosmic dance pose in the sanctum sanctorum. Flanking the temple are 108 sculptured illustrations of Bharat Natya Shastra. En route, visit to Tanjore (2 hours 30 minutes drive). Tanjore - Visit the most spectacular of temples, the Brihadishwara capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite rock weighing 80 tons. After breakfast, local sightseeing of Chettinad which includes visit to Raja's Palace, old Chettiar Mansions, Athangudi village to see the hand-made tiles, handloom saree weaving house, Chettiar Clan temples, local markets, bullock cart ride, cycle tour. Dinner and Overnight at Visalam.

After breakfast, day visit to Madurai (One way 2 hours drive). Madurai visit includes the Sree Meenakshi Temple which is dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams.
