Arrive at Tanjore and check into the hotel. Visit the planet gods of Kethu, Mercury, Mars, Moon, Sun, Venus at the temple in Tanjore. We will visit Brihadeshwara temple, also known as the 'Big Temple', built by the Chola dynasty. This massive temple is 216 feet high and the single spherical stone on top weighs 80 tons. Visit the historical city of Tanjore known for its beautiful temples. Visit the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi, 434 steps cut out into the rockside and interspersed with shrines, lead to the temple. Visit Srirangam, a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu which contains within its walls a Bazaar as well. Overnight stay at the hotel. 

Visit the Ramanathaswamy temple, the biggest temple complex in India, which has the tallest temple tower. Also visit Rockfort temple and Jain temple, the important tourist places in the city. In the evening board the flight / train to Chennai to board a connecting flight to an onward destination or way back home.
