Neelakurinji Bloom - once in 12 Years
Neelakurinji Flowering Season is an intriguing occurrence that takes place once in 12 years.
The beautiful Anamalai hills near Munnar in Kerala covered with the purplish blue carpet as this beautiful purplish blue flowers swaying in the valley covering the magnificent mountains completely. The time for viewing this special phenomenon starts from late July and lasts up to the month of October. Thousands of visitors are expected to come to this place to witness this unique blooming phenomenon. When are you coming? Day 01 - Cochin Arrival
Our
friendly representative welcomes you at Cochin Airport or Railway Station and
transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel/resort. Sightseeing of Cochin,
visit The Dutch Palace, The Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church the oldest
European church in India, Chinese fishing nets, Santa Cruz Basilica etc, and
also an array of shops with antiques, fabrics & jewellery. Back to the
hotel and overnight stay.
Day 02 - Munnar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Visit the enchanting hills of munnar covered with the puplish blue carpet . The famed neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana) will burst into flower - a phenomenon that occurs once in 12 years. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the Munnar hills to behold the spectacle that lasts up until October.
Day 3 : Munnar – Thekkady
After
breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Thekkady. On arrival check into the
hotel and proceed to local sightseeing places like Periyar Lake, Periyar
wildlife Sanctuary and spice plantation then return back to the hotel and
overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 :Thekkady – Alleppey
After breakfast check out from the hotel / resort and proceed to Thekkady. Check in to the hotel / resort. Sightseeing of Thekkady: Go for Plantation Tour, evening boat ride to National Park. Evening free for shopping. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 5 : Alleppey – Kovalam
After Breakfasst, drive for Kovalam ,
After checkin to the hotel visit beaches in kovalam. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 - Kovalam
After breakfast, Check out from the houseboat and proceed to Kovalam. Check in to the resort / hotel. Day free to relax and enjoy on beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 7 : Kovalam : Excursion to Kanyakumari
After breakfast proceed for Kanyakumari .This beach town ranked high among international tourists is an ideal destination to feel the tropical sun and to feel contented about the golden suntan. Water enthusiasts have a lot of beach activities to indulge in like - kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. Occasionally walk into some of the certified massaging centers alongside the beach and pamper yourself with an exotic herbal, body- toning massage. Then return back to hotel, Rest of the day free at leisure Overnight stay in hotel at Kovalam.
Day 08 – Kovalam – Drop at Trivandrum
After breakfast , check out from hotel and proceed to Trivandrum Airport for your onwards journey . Tour end but sweet memories will remain forever .
